Class FAQ

Can I watch my child in class?

We have a parent observation deck between the two studios. Parents are not allowed inside the studio without permission of the teacher, with the exception of the Mommy & Me class.

Why is it important that my child wear a leoard and tights for dance class?

Leotards and tights help the teachers to see that each dancer’s body is aligned properly. Loose-fitting clothing can inhibit proper movement to achieve the required choreography.

My child is not paying attention in class. What should I do?

Because of the young age of many of ur students, we understand that attention spans can be short. Our teachers are experienced with this, so please allow them to handle the situaion. If your child becomes too much of a distraction to other students, the teacher will discuss this with you. Please do not interrupt the class to discipline your child.

Do I have to stay at DCPA while my child is in class?

No. You may leave the building and return by the end of class to pick up your child. Please be prompt.
